(I think this thread is a fun idea -- I'm curious what people chose -- those who were given the choice, anyway.)

I didn't request any and got St. Regis Monarch Beach, Dana Point, which is where we plan to spend our anniversary.

I forgot, none were on my "fav" list (Asolo, Haciendas, W Times Sq, Westin Whistler, Europa & Regina, etc.)

I got mine with the St. Regis Aspen...I'd have preferred one of the Rome, Florence or Venice properties but I do like the Aspen SR as well...nice little touch by *wood that probably costs a bit of $, but gives us something to do on the weekends like show them to our spouses and try to pick out what pic to use.

I had the Starwood in Crete put on my card, as it gives me an aspirational goal of where to take my new bride next year on vacation (category 6, so many points will be needed):D

I preferred it over the W Maldives and Le Meridien Bora Bora since the best part of those photos IMO get clipped off by the grey crapola.

I got the infamous "package" or rather envelope, and to my surprise my card is correct and has a nice picture of the Hotel Cala di Volpe! ^

I went for Crete as well, as the picture looked most like a place I would want to visit.

I didn't know I had a choice :( Ended up receiving the Kierlands.

Having the picture on my card may be as close as I get to the property, but nice to look at while waiting for Ms. Right to materialize.

Both my friend and I are plats and they sent me the wrong picture. I have sent them many emails asking for the right card to be sent to me. After five emails back and forth they have finally agreed to send the right card.

Its ridiculous how much trouble it is to get the card that I originally ordered. I think the person who thought of this promotion of customized cards should be taken out back and shot.

While my new card has yet to arrive, husband's gold card had St. Regis Aspen... nice for a gold card! (I guess we can feel lucky since that was an option for you platinum folk! ;))

And as an FYI - I have yet to receive my card - guess I better start calling, emailing, faxing, and DEMANDING that they send me a card with every property on it! :D

I had no idea you can choose.. How can you choose what card you want? I didn't even know about these picture cards until I got one in the mail... Got the St Regis in Aspen.. wish I could get the W Maldives... my favorite Starwood property...

St. Regis Monarch Beach, Dana Point. I spend so much time dreaming about other places, I forget to appreciate what is in my own back yard. This will help me remember.

Mine arrived this week. Blue Palace. Loved that terrace when I was there a few years ago. Ended every night having a drink overlooking the sea. ^

received mine today with the sheraton del mar resort in los cabos. i am curious as to how people actually requested a particular property?

I didn't have a choice...and I haven't yet received my card, so for now, nothing!

I wish they had more options. I would have liked to have one with the property that earned me all the points to fund my stays overseas, The Sheraton Premiere, in Tysons Corner.

I like the picture...found my next holiday.

I chose the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar in Cabo since we had a nice trip there a few years back. Mrs. Goodman, being a dreamer, went with Bora Bora. Hers looks way better, but that's probably as close as she'll ever get to going there.

I too choose Calle di Volpe. My wife was dissapointed as it did not have Dennis Kozlowski attending his wife's birthday party pictured. :D

Can someone PLEASE answer this question from March 9?? I am a Plat and have never been asked to choose a property. My SPG card has no picture on it at all. So HOW were you able to choose a property??

I got an email way back inviting me to choose a picture for my new card. I'm an SVO owner, which makes me SPG Gold. I can't remember if the email was from SPG or SVO.

I recall looking over the choices - golf courses and resorts, as I recall - and thinking "no, these aren't 'me'; I'd never visit either". As it turns out, I got Four Points Caguas Real...and I'm headed there in October. (Long story.) Interesting fate/outcome.

St. Regis Aspen. Nice, snowy scene on the card to get me through those brutal Houston summers.

Have you seen the new picture of the LM Bora Bora that occasionally pops up as the backgroung on the SPG web site? I wish that had been available when I made my choice.

1 or 2 days before I actually received my Plat card, I went onto SPG and printed a temporary card...... funny thing is I just wanted to print one but for some reason you cannot just print one, it also automatically confirms that a new replacement is on the way.......

anyway, my replacement card (which I didnt need) arrived last week and I get the LM Bora Bora background on it..... I bet you can guess which card I will be literally using from now on....

Beginning of May and still no new card/package. I've already requalified for Plat through 2010 - maybe they're working on getting me a new card for next year? :D

I'm a Gold by virtue of ownership in SVN. We were invited to choose pictures. Hmmmmm...

Plats and Golds got to choose earlier this year (in Jan/Feb) before the 08 cards were sent. Sorry but I don't know if SPG is making this choice available for people who qualify during the year. So far I haven't read anywhere of that occuring (but that doesn't mean it isn't!).

We received email invitation to pick our own picture, from a selection of SPG properties, back in Feb(?, whenever this thread started). I don't know if new Plats are offered the option. But, alanslegal's post seems to suggest that you can request a replacement card with a selected picture.
