Any recommendations regarding land or water sports - specific areas to do anything, good operators, links for Trinidad?

Head for Tobago. Much nicer in terms of being a tourist with water sports, diving, snorkeling etc.

I also know there is an active Hashing club in Port -of-Spain... a coworkers sometimes runs with them when there on business.

If you are into bird watching there is the Asa Wright bird sanctuary on Trinidad.
