Hilton HHonors - Hilton Double Points promotion or one-time thing?

I stayed at a HGI Earlier this month. Here is my online activity

Base Points - HGI xxx
DOUBLE POINTS OFFER - HGI xxx (for the same date as above)

I stayed there again, a week later, and did not get the double points offer. To avoid sounding dumb (at the possible expense of sounding dumb here at FT), does anyone know any details about it? Or who should I contact regarding getting the double points offer again - hotel or hhonors?

The payment time and method of booking were exactly the same. Was it a hilton wide promotion or specific to this hotel?

Review both reservations booking details.

Review both reservations booking details.

Only thing I can see is the e-Folio, and on the first one the rate plan is L-CO, while the other (non bonus) is L-8D. Any ideas? The rate was the same - my client's company name.

Double points rates are usually the same as the prevailing rates so you won't be able to distinguish between the two just by looking at the price you paid. As you point out, rate codes are different and that's where the answer to your question is. If you booked the room yourself at hilton.com than you didn't choose the same rate the second time - double check in the future when you book a room. If someone else did it for you they didn't know/care about the difference and probably booked the first thing offered at the lowest/contracted price.

Most likely you won't be able to get double pts for the second stay. However, it doesn't hurt to call hhonors and ask. You may get lucky.

Hilton has not had a promo in a while. A lot of the hotels have been running double points.
