JetBlue TrueBlue - can I transfer jetblue points to other airlines?

Hi, I have some jetblue points, but I want to transfer to other airlines, therefore I can accrue miles for reward tickets. Does anyone know which airlines I can tranfer to?How can I do that?

You're not able to transfer TrueBlue points to any other programs. You can only transfer points in via Amex (either mebership rewards, or the B6 Amex). Most airlines don't allow you to transfer points out of their programs.

That's not really true at all. There are a variety of ways with other airlines (through Amtrak, through hotel programs, points.com, etc.).

You can transfer to other airlines through travel partners. Lots of folks transfer from Airline A to Airline B through Amtrak, for instance. Just because you can't do this on B6, don't assume other airlines don't allow this possibility.

Besides travel partners and/or alliances (which, unfortunately jetBlue is not a part of any), I am not aware of any two or more airlines that allow direct transfer of points/miles between the two programs.

The answer: No, and on most airlines you can't either.

The reality: You can on lots of airlines, but it requires an additional step.

It's not a loophole. The airlines know about it; United certainly did.

Again, I don't think that's necessarily true among the majors in the US, but that's a rather small point.
