I just received a confirmation for a new reservation and see this option. I have not seen it mentioned here (I could have missed it) if this is old news, sorry.

There are more enhancements to the notification service and website that will be coming on line in the next couple of weeks. The IT department has been hard at work.

I can't save the screen that appears after I click "click here" but it asks for your flight number, date of travel, from where, to where and then asks if you want alerts for arrival or departure and breaks it down to -
Alert preferences
Alert me on: ( ) Departure information ( ) Arrival information
( ) Send me an alert if the flight is cancelled.
( ) Send me an alert if the flight's departure/arrival is delayed
( ) Send me flight notifications ( ) 30 min ( ) One hour ( )Two hours prior
to flight departure/arrival time.
and the gives you the option of alerts via e-mail or to your cell phone.

It sucks that you can't enter in an itinerary number and get notification for all the flights, rather than entering them in seperately, but I'm sure that will come in the future.

Ideally they will go the UA route where you set your FF number up for alerts. Then all of your flights are automatically set up for alerts. It is very convenient.
