I've booked a full size with neverlost pickup from SFO for Sept this year through QF. Any idea what I will get? I noticed Hertz now list the fullsize as being Camry or similar. What, no Taurus?? :) I'd be happy with a Camry so was just wondering. Thanks guys.

I've seen the following:

Camry
Sonata
Taurus

I'm sure others will have seen other models as well.

There is no easy answer to your question. There are probably 20 cars that you could easily get for a full size reservation with NL and another 30 cars that you could end up in if upgraded including SUVs and Minivans. SFO has a very large fleet.

If you look through the thread of people posting upgrades as a sample, you should get an idea of the wide variety of cars that Hertz gives people. Also do a search for a fairly recent (past 6 months) thread about cars that have Neverlost to get an idea of the fleet.

Until you arrive at SFO and get your car, a prediction would just be a guess. If you get a full size my guess is that you have the greatest chance of:
- Chevrolet Impala
- Ford Taurus
- Toyota Camry

Do let us know how it turns out!

I was hoping that Hertz had got rid of the Taurus since it wasn't listed as being the fullsize as it used to be. Oh well. I'm just hoping I don't end up with some huge SUV though. Thanks a lot...I shall report back!

By September the old Tauruses may really be banished from the fleet. But just to be confusing especially in these cases of the rental fleet, the Taurus name has been put on a different car, formerly known as the Five Hundred. These should still be F though, or YF at most. They wouldn't tip over into Premium, so there's really nothing else it could be.

So with any luck, another 7 months from now should be more than enough time that even if you get a "Taurus", it'll be the newer, less offensive variety. Or, at least most find it less offensive. ;)
