Any recent stays and reviews of properties near the Greensboro, NC airport? None were found via search.
Are the two airport properties ES and HS tired and worn...or have they been recently renovated...?
Is a better bet, either the DT or the HGI a few miles away?
Thanks!
Well the Hilton Garden Inn is very new (maybe 18 months), I have been there for meetings, haven't stayed there yet, but it was being kept up well last time I was there. The DoubleTree is a recent remodel of an old Howard Johnson, but it looked like they redid it to the outer walls, from what I could see. Don't know why they didn't just tear down and rebuild. Again haven't stayed there, just know it from driving by. The Embassy Suites at the airport I have stayed at several times, and the rooms are a little tired, but still very nice, and the public areas are well kept up. My biggest complaint there is the indoor pool is always very cool. The Homewood Suites is next door to the Embassy Suites is same owner (Hammond Group), looks good from the outside but haven't stayed there. I know this is probably not very helpful when I have only stayed at the ES, but there is my .02.

Thank you for the details, as this gives me a general idea of what to expect - much appreciated! Maybe a trip report to add to the archives will be in order after I return.

I spent the good part of a week at the Doubletree in November, and give it an overall thumbs up. The remodel was pretty extensive, except for the single elevator. The lift is structurally circa 1972, and is verrrrrrrrrry slow. For the size of the hotel a second elevator is probably warranted, but was probably not physically viable during the remodel.
Staff was nice, and the rooms more than adequate for the modest cost.
