I received this in my inbox this morning:
Dear JetBlue Traveler,

As of February 20, 2008, you have 12 TrueBlue points.

At JetBlue, we're all about making flying as enjoyable as possible. So naturally, we're making earning JetBlue Award Flights enjoyable, too. As a TrueBlue Member you're already on your way - but, you can earn flights even faster with the JetBlue Card.

Plus, to get you up in the air in no time, we'll give you a free* oneway Flight Certificate anywhere JetBlue flies(1) and 25 TrueBlue points after your first purchase.(2) Certificates will be emailed on or after April 1 for travel between May 1 and June 18, 2008 with blackout dates. There's never been a better time to apply.

(1) Offer expires March 10, 2008. Oneway flight certificate will be issued to primary Cardmembers after the first purchase on the JetBlue Card from American Express. Flight Certificate is non-transferable. Offer is valid for first-time JetBlue Cardmembers only. Redeemed travel is subject to availability and seats may not be available on all flights. Flight Certificate is valid for oneway travel between any two nonstop JetBlue Cities between May 1 and June 18, 2008. Travel must be booked between April 1 and April 30, 2008; travel must be completed by June 18, 2008.. Blackout dates are May 23 through May 26, 2008. Flight Certificate has no cash value and cannot be sold or traded on auction websites. Redeemed travel is subject and entitled to all provisions of JetBlue's Contract of Carriage, except denied boarding compensation and the Customer Bill of Rights. Redeemed travel is not eligible for TrueBlue points. Cancellations and changes can be made prior to scheduled departure for $50 at 1-800-JETBLUE (1-297-588-5388, if located in Aruba), with applicable fare adjustment. I got it as well. Not likely to take advantage of it, but I am considering it. The big limitation is that the free one-way has a pretty short lifetime (travel complete by 6/18).

Here's the link from mine...

Upon further review of the small print, it doesn't appear to be targeted.

3. In order to be eligible for this special offer, you must apply via the url provided in this e-mail. Applications submitted through other urls and channels will not be eligible for this special offer.

Sounds to me like you just have to click through the e-mail link.

I'm confused. I received the email too. Our business already has their AmEx card, but I don't remember there being a $40 annual fee. Is this supposed to be an upgraded AmEx???

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

There has always been an annual fee on the JetBlue AmEx, though you may have had a promo that waived it for a year.

I called customer service, and you are correct sbm. I think I better start reading my bills a little better. ;)

Our cards are due to expire in November, so I should probably go for it. :)
