Travel Technology - Google Blogger in Australia

Will be traveling in Australia and want to keep the family and friends up-to-date on my activities. I recently had a friend (not very technical) visit and was not able to use his blogger account in Australia. Should I look for another blog site to use in Australia or should I be ok? Is there any reason Google would block my access from Australia?
