I have 2 award flights in my TrueBlue account that expire in June & it doesn't look like I'll be able to use them. Anyone know if I can sell them? Anyone have experience with this? Are they transferable?

JetBlueFA Feb 22, 08, 10:31 pm I don't think you can sell them but I do believe they are transferable Josanna Feb 23, 08, 12:26 am Yep. Totally transferable. I've done it. I guess you could "sell" them to your friends. davidmay Feb 23, 08, 2:06 pm I'm pretty sure you don't have to fly by June, just book by June, which extends your deadline somewhat... Josanna Mar 3, 08, 11:59 pm You're right davidmay, just have to book before they expire. And, you can always rebook and pay the $40 change fee (cheaper than another ticket) if you need to. j3823x Mar 4, 08, 12:15 am You're right davidmay, just have to book before they expire. And, you can always rebook and pay the $40 change fee (cheaper than another ticket) if you need to. That depends on award availability. If there's no availability, there's no changing. I wouldn't count on being able to change them later on. If there's a use for the award now, use it now instead of hoping something opens up in the future and then potentially losing it. Maybe B6 will eliminate the 1yr requirement. While its good for B6's books, it makes it kinda tough to save up a couple awards for a family trip. sbm12 Mar 4, 08, 6:34 am You're right davidmay, just have to book before they expire. Rebooking doesn't necessarily mean that you can rebook past the one year validity of the reward ticket. I would be very surprised if the JetBlue system allowed you to book a ticket in June '08 for travel in January '09 and then change in in December '08 to be for travel in October '09. October '09 would be outside the normal one year validity of a ticket, change fee or not. |
