I gotta get to NY...

This doesn't sound encouraging...

Nah, I'm flying in from NRT in about 9 hours!

(from the article)
A heavy storm may dampen the Chinese New Year parade Saturday night in San Francisco, but the annual procession will go on, whatever the weather.
But if the big dragon gets blown away, yeah, I'd start worrying. :)

I'm flying out of OAK tomorrow, which always seems to do better than SFO in bad weather. Fares to Germany were running a little less out of there than SFO. I don't think I've flown out of OAK for 2-3 years (AA doesn't have much of a presence there--couple DFW flights a day).

I really dislike OAK, but it is going to be a better alternative this weekend than SFO.

Booking a flight to/from SFO is always a crapshoot. It's always the fog or the rain or both. I love it when it's clear but in bad weather I despise that place.

Even in bad weather it's not that bad if you are flying before 10 a.m.

Living in SF, though, you don't have too many other options - OAK doesn't have the best flight selection unless you're flying southwest, and SJC is in a similar boat, and too far away

If you'd been in JFK this morning, you'd know why. It was a snowy, slushy mess. Saw the flifo monitors at breakfast and immediately gave up on the idea of getting back to Dulles tonight -- Acela to Union Station it was. At least I got the singleton seat. When we got to Washington, the Amtrak dude was announcing that all trains for the rest of the day were sold out.

Now to get my car back... somehow...

Well, the storm has arrived. It just went from calm and cloudy to extremely windy and hard rain here in Lower Haight. Here's to hoping this one isn't nearly as bad as January 4.

Hah - that sucked! Yeah I don't want to be flying out tonight. Hopefully my flight tomorrow morning has more favorable conditions...

Well, planes have been flying at fairly low altitude today due westbound over the Albany/Berkeley border. SFO can't be pretty (well, the delay situation. The airport is quite nice :p)

I flew SFO-IAH on CO on Saturday, 2/23. We were only delayed for a little more than 2 hours. Not too bad. Flight was scheduled to depart at 2:20pm. We left around 4:50pm.
