Honduras Feb 21, 08, 8:29 pm 1.Wait until after 28 Feb for posters to confirm that the Aeroplan miles awarded on 9W are Aeroplan "status" miles. If they are non-status miles, interest would be much less, they would stick to *A airlines flying into India. 2.Lounge access in YYZ,LHR, BRU,BOM and MAA for *Gold passengers traveling on 9W Y. Related benefits such as J class counter checkin,Priority boarding and Priority luggage handling for *Gold traveling on 9W Y would also be important. 3.Extending codeshares to 9W domestic connecting flights to other destinations in India particularly BLR,HYD,CCU and DEL. 4.Clear Terms and Conditions published on the AC and Aeroplan websites. Nothing on AC site as of last night...they don't seem to want to publish this so expeditiously... drbala Feb 29, 08, 4:52 pm How do they manage code share with AA, VS and AC? I just see BA has broken off their relationship with Jet. How do they manage to straddle the One`world/Star alliance/VS (SQ) /NW9Miles only)combos? AA is going great guns with 9W. AA.COM always comes out with Jet fares in preference to BA fares unless you click "One world" only. In JFK they show a JFK-DEL flight (Operated by 9W) Does AA allow Jet First passengers to use Flagship lounge in JFK? pilotboy1985YYC Mar 2, 08, 10:09 am 1.Wait until after 28 Feb for posters to confirm that the Aeroplan miles awarded on 9W are Aeroplan "status" miles. I flew on AC 9402 on Feb 29th.(9W119) It's my understanding I was the first to fly this codeshare with an Air Canada ticket. Check-in agents were unsure exactly of my ticket and how everything worked. AC could not issue my jetairways ticket, and when I got to Heathrow I went to Jetairways and told them I was on Air Canada 9402 from London to Mumbai they told me to go to the air Canada desk, after explaining it was a codeshare, they still said I should go to the Air Canada desk. I made them call some-one else, who explained to them the new partner ship. and they issued me my ticket right there. No miles have posted. I was told when booking the tickets that I would get Aeroplan miles, so I booked them over the phone for a flight out the next day. Then I was told later that day that I would not earn miles, then I spoke with someone else the next morning who said I might, no-one really knows yet! So, all in all I loved the jetairways flight, but im not going to be the Guinny Pig anymore. I will wait till things like this get sorted out first. But I suppose someone has to do it, oh well. palefire Apr 5, 08, 2:16 am No miles have posted. I'm probably flying to India in the fall and would be very interested to know how this turned out. hserus Apr 5, 08, 4:48 am The flight's operational and the first time I saw it I did a doubletake .. codeshare with AA,AC and SN. This is not the first time. AI code shared with United, AF, LH, OS. Before tghe three alliances were born I remember getting UA miles on LH, and KLM. And KLM would earn miles on UA, NW as well as DL. grumbler Apr 9, 08, 3:59 pm Any update on whether status miles are posted to AP on the code share ? |
