Hertz - is it normal that #1 Club Gold memebers get a quote 3 times more expensive?

When I log in with my Club Gold account I get quotes 3 times more expensive, and I don't even get certain cars offered.
When I don't log in I get more cars to choose from, and a price a third of the Club Gold price! Error in their reservation software or a rip-off?

There have been a few reports of this recently. I for one would be curious where people are from and where/when they are trying to book.

In the case of that thread, as in this one, we do not know where the OP is from and thus we can't see if you are using Hertz.com in the US or the local Hertz web site in another country. Not that it's acceptable to see prices higher for #1 Gold, but in most cases others have had trouble replicating this problem.

The first thing we always point out is to make sure there's not a certain CDP in your #1 Gold profile that could be pricing it higher. Some CDPs can actually price higher than having no CDP at all, when you figure in other variables like what days and how much availability there is at the location you are trying to book.

Try asking for the quote not to consider your CDP in your profile. Simply uncheck the box. If that works for you, start looking for new CDP's.
