I understand that EY runs a 77W on the AUH-KUL route. What is J like? Are they lie-flats like the A345?
Whats the seat pitch like in Y?
Cheers.

Are they lie-flats like the A345? Whats the seat pitch like in Y? I haven't flown with them but my friends tell me that the seats are not lie-flats but FULLY FLAT in J or EY's Pearl Class (http://www.etihadairways.com/etihadairways/global/en/experienceetihad/ourguestzones/Pearl.htm) ^^ "The new Pearl Zone seat reclines 180 degrees into a fully flat, comfortable, 6 ft 1-inch Business Bed. With an 88-inch pitch and direct access to the aisle, the Pearl Zone seat offers plenty of space and privacy." Y class is a bit wider-than-norm and 33" seat pitch, which is better than some airlines. EY's Y class is also called Coral Zone (http://www.etihadairways.com/etihadairways/global/en/experienceetihad/ourguestzones/Coral.htm) flyboy777 Feb 15, 08, 3:02 pm The B777-300ERs have a relaitvely small Pearl cabin with 28 flat beds, & a very personalised level of service. These aircraft also have no Diamond Zone (equivalent First class) so this is the most premiere service available. The configuration of the seats is identical to the A340-500 used on the SYD/LHR/JFK routes with an 8 abreast layout, staggered so everuyone has aisle access. Given that the B777 is considerably wider than the Airbus, the aisles will be wider & give a less cramped feeling. BiziBB Feb 15, 08, 10:23 pm Sounds like a big improvement on some of the claustrophobic B777 J setups like BA SIN-SYD (which may be the oldest B777 seats around) :td:. Does this flight continue on to euro destinations or turn around to KUL? Be aware of Cedar Jet's warning that EY J FAs may be prone to exhaustion (or go feral on pax who are behaving badly). ;) I'd like to know why EY FAs are prone to heart attacks (or accusing Aussie pax of assault in the past) and what is being done about it. (What I really want is to swap out of EK J into EY J to Italy this year!) |
