Hertz - Award reservation - estimate still says full charge??

I just picked up a car for 3 day rental (non-peak) reserved through Hertz online system. The rental record says, I will be charged at 32 bucks/day * 3 days = ~110 bucks as estimated charge, instead of the ~10 bucks taxes according to my reservation.

Clerk says - Promotion code for free rental will only be applied on return. Is it true or am I being tricked into paying for the rental?

Hertz #1 Awards is closed for weekend :(, so cannot clarify with them either..

Clerk is correct. I had a weekly award rental for a H2, imagine getting the estimate of charges and it showed over $1,400. Returned the car, and the Award was applied and the total charges dropped to $32.00, which were taxes.
