Hilton HHonors - Getting more than 2 rooms on points

I know this has been asked but I can't find the thread. My wife and I are accompaning 4 college kids to London (4 nights) then Paris (same). Can I book 3 rooms with 125k AX award, just thinking squeezing 6 people in 2 rooms would be "not a vacation", students are 2 boys, 2 girls? I have plenty of points so that not a problem, Diamond desk said "maybe ok if there are rooms", didn't seem sure. If no go, I thought about putting the 2 boys in a youth hostel nearby, they could at least clean up with us. The girls are paying for the trip out of their summer earnings so we are trying to help.

You will not get HHhotel elite status points for more than two rooms. However, based on what credit card you use, you could get points for that.

I misread your question - thats what I get for posting when not wearing glasses :td::td: - call the Diamond Desk for that information.

If you have the points to burn and there are rooms available, I don't see how that should be a problem, especially now that Hilton instituted the new policy of no blackout dates. If the hotel is completely sold out and you need to use Diamond force to get a room, they will only give you a room for yourself and it would be probably hard to get 3.
Best bet is to call and make the reservation and see what happens. Let us know how it goes.

Well, I did it in Birmingham, England just over a year ago. It was remarkable. (I am gold HH.)

3 rooms for 2 nights = 180,000 points if I remember correctly. Not only were all 3 rooms upgraded and comp breakfast, also wine in each room and one room with a bottle of champagne on ice and a big box of chocolates.

And what did we pay in £££ at the hotel? Nothing at all! So I'd guess Birmingham Metropole was out of pocket on the deal. But the goodwill was probably worth it.

I booked the rooms by telephone, and asked if I could use points for all of them. "If you've got enough...let me check...goodness me, you've got enough points to fly to the moon!" he said, seeing a balance in excess of 500,000.

(I blew most of it away on 8 nights and 2 rooms at Barcelona's Diagonal Mar last August.)

The hotels do get paid by Hilton for award reservations, so they weren't totally out.
