OMG....is this THE softest blanket in the world? I just have to have one but didn't know if I could get one somewhere else for much less.
It appears you can purchase them on homewoodcollection.com for $110 in ivory or sage and the are 90 x 90. They are so soft....
Has anyone purchased one? I don't think I have ever slept with a softer blanket in my life!

I've wanted to buy one, but Mr. Kipper won't let me! Any time I mention buying one, he glares at me...

I don't know if you work outside the home or not (I realize working inside the home is more than enough...it just doesn't bring in actual income), but if you do...you may want to try this:
Years ago (literally) my husband basically did the "glare" thing to me because I wanted to buy something that was a want and not a need.
I told him, "well, okay...but someday when I get a job and bring in money, I'm going to buy one."
Well, that was the last time he ever did that. I bring in a substantial amount of $$ from my job as he does....maybe not quite as much, but a large share and he realized from that moment on, he never said anything like that again.
Now neither of us make large purchases w/out the other's buy on, but something like $100, that is small enough where it really doesn't need a town hall meeting.

:D I've been the breadwinner while he's been in college, and I'm still making more than him, even now that he graduated. :) His glare is more of a "We have enough blankets," rather than cost. He's right, we do have enough blankets, but the dog is currently working on making it so that we're down a blanket. Once she tosses enough of the stuffing out of it, I'll toss it out. Then, I can justify it, and will buy one. :D

I have plenty of blankets as well, but sometimes there is just something kinda special you want and so I think I'll just have to have an EXTRA blanket. I'm sure there are things that he buys that you roll your eyes as if to say, 'what is wrong with the one you have?' But to each his own.
Actually, quite the opposite happened to me. I tried to talk myself OUT of buying it and I said, "you know, I really don't need a $100 blanket," and he said, "Oh...I think you do...the 'girls' would love to cuddle with you on it" (our cats). I think it is an attitude you gain when you get older. You can't take it with you and what is working all your life for if not to spoil yourself with little things that are a special little item. Again, we are talking about $100, not $1,000. No credit card debt--we don't buy anything we can't pay for upfront (just don't believe in the get now pay later mentality)...so I think it is a go!
I'm actually going on line right now and getting the sage green one. We leave for Cabo tomorrow morning and it should be here waiting for me when we return! Although I'm back on the road the very next day I return, but at least I'll get to enjoy it for one night!
Have a nice evening.

I love soft, fuzzy blankets, which is probably part of the problem. :) He gets tired of all of the blankets on the bed. :) In the winter I have a sleeping bag rated to 0 degrees that I use. It's flannel lined, and really warm. Mr. Kipper tends to be like a giant space heater in bed, which is part of his blanket issue. But, yes, right now, spending $100 on a blanket, while I'd love it, isn't a must have want. We're more concerned with collecting other things, I guess. :D
