Qantas Frequent Flyer - Joined QFF A Question

I joined wife last night and can confirm I used an Australian Address entered my CC details.

I expected the amount to be debited instantly but still as yet has not been taken out

Does anyone know how long it takes QFF to debit a card for QFF membership?

Any credit card transaction I have had with QF have been taken within 2-3 business days. It is not like an online transaction with an eftpos terminal

You should have joined with a foreign address.... But hey, we do everything to support our beloved flying kangaroo. :D

I have heard people who did this and changed back to an Australian address and Qantas sent them an invoice for the $82.50 anyway.

Never heard of that. I know a few people who did that and none of them got charged. They took their time to transfer however and only did this after a long time.
