Korean Air Skypass - What plane config does Korean Air use?
I'll be traveling to Seoul on Feb. 9 on flight 36 to get our son we are adopting from Korea.
I'll be returning on Feb. 16 on flight 35 with him. I'm in row 45 on the return trip.
Can someone tell what configuration 747 Korean Air uses for these flights? When I look on their site under "our fleet" it shows 4 different configurations of the 747-400 - the "Kosmo Sleeper", "Sleeper", "Combi" and standard.
Is there a way to tell what configuration I'll be on? I really am hoping my 45 row is the one with a bulkhead for a bassinet to attach to.
Thanks in advance.

Wish God bless your family and your new son !!
Your flights will be "Sleeper" version with AVOD on all seats. Middle section of row 45 looks like bulk seats with a bassinet, according to seatmap of KE webpage. Since your son is a baby (is it?), you'll get a seat with bassinet with no problem - KE ground staff will help you on this if you ask when check-in.
Have a nice trip to Korea.
Best luck.

Thanks so much for the reply - Seatguru.com really ended up steering me the wrong direction with regards to the seating arrangements for Korean Air.
I ended up giving up 49B & C - then 45D & E because the layout they show on their site isn't the "sleeper" one (I didn't do enough research to know then that Korean Air has 4 different layouts they use). So I guess it's partly my own dumb fault for not looking into things more.
Regardless - I'm planning on the trip being horrible on the way back anyway - so anything positive will be a plus! The baby is going to be about 9 months old - I hope he'll be ok with the bassinet - but I'm assuming I'll have to walk around with him most of the time.

Thank you so much for the reply! Seatguru doesn't have all the Korean Air seating arrangements listed and as a result (and due to my own ignorance) I ended up switching pretty decent seats for ones that aren't as good. It pays to do your research I guess. Our son will be 9 months when I come home with him so the bassinet "should" work. Thanks again.

Can you choose the bulk seat? 45 D-G, 34 D-G, or row 28. I guess KE blocks those seats from seat-pre-selection and give to those who really needs. KE also blocks front area seats for some reason. If you call KE office and ask them to give those seats to you, I think you'll get it.
Yes - I already got a seat in 45 (and one in 46) reserved.
Originally our seats were back in row 49 - but they weren't "as bad" as I originally thought after looking at Seatguru.
On my first call to Korean Air the girl wanted to give me 2 seats side by side in row 45 and I told her know after looking at the layout posted on Seatguru (it showed that row approximately 5 rows back from the closest bulkhead) - in retrospect those were the best seats - but now they're taken and my sister will have to sit one row behind me on the return trip - not a big deal but it would have been nice for us to be side by side.
I politely emailed seatguru.com suggesting they adjust their seat layouts they show for Korean Air and I got a nice email back saying thank you and they will. Hopefully the next person like me doesn't end up ditching good seats because of the way seatguru shows the seating arrangement.
Thanks again for your help! :)

Just wanted to drop by to give my review of Korean Air and our flights.
One word - WOW! What a great airline - our domestic airlines should take a few lessons from Korean Air.
Anyway - back home safe with the new baby - he was a perfect angel for the entire flight home and we're all getting adjusted to the new life.
Thanks again for the info.
