Didnt see any reviews of this property so I thought I'd post a quick trip report with highlights:

- if you havent stocked up on souvenirs for folks back home by the time you get here, you have two options - the Green Turtle, which is right behind the hotel, and the hotel gift shop, which surprisingly had some of the best prices that I saw on the entire trip
- I'd advise booking early- we booked 3 days ahead and the rate was $175 per night, so we used points
- there are 4 dining options nearby
= a Denny's which our driver swore up and down was much better than the ones in the US
= a place called Rosti Pollo which is a chicken fast food place (but they also have costa rican arroz con pollo)
= a steakhouse that's less than a 5 minute walk along the main road. We ate there and the fod was pretty good. They have the menu at the front desk
= a seafood place that's one minute closer than the steakhose

- the shuttle to the airport seems to run very frequently. It takes 5 minutes max. If you're departing don't forget to buy your departure tax form (currently US $26/person) before getting in the chek in line
- there is a pool but we didnt check it out
- I have a 3 year old who loves milk. they didn't have any in the food for sale area, so they went out and got me some and gave it to me for free!

This is one of the most expensive Hamptons I've seen. I often check Hilton properties in CR, and it's almost always $125 or more. The location is good, and the shuttle seems to come around a lot. I wait to be picked up at the airport, and always see it going by every 20-30 minutes.

I will be staying there next month on a $140/n rate. Will give a trip report after.

Slightly off-topic, but I stayed here a few years ago when I had some major dental work done. Top-of-the-line crowns were $500, they have their own lab - the bill was a lot less than half of what I would have paid in the states, and the work was outstanding. PM me if you want details.

I stayed there last May for two separate nights. I believe I paid around $110-$115. It has a good shuttle service. I believe it is shared with another hotel or two. It's a good place to stay if you need to overnight at SJO and want to earn some HH points.
