Hilton HHonors - HHonors Soft Landing?

Does HHonors offer soft landing for it's Diamond members that won't be able to renew their Diamond Status? Come April 30th of this year, I will have about 6 or 7 stays over the last 12 months. Is there a chance that HHonors only drops me to Gold instead of Silver?

I would say "no", however, each situation is a case-by-case situation.

They do not have a soft landing, by the same token with rolling tier, you may have more stays/ nights then you think, since it is in a 12 month time frame.

Also, it is quite common (or at least it used to be) for them to offer you a challenge -- something like 7 stays in 90 days, and that will re-instate your Diamond status.

Not sure if this is still common with the rolling tier and all.
