i booked a hotel in cairo for 2 nights through orbitz. they gave me a rate of $56 plus taxes. everywhere else i looked (expedia, hotel.com, the rates start at ~$115 plus tax. orbitz is still showing the lower rate.

i tried, 3 e-mails in the last 7 days with the last one about an hour ago, nothing!

i'll wait until mon or tue and i guess i will have to call but i really don't want to spend the money.


part of the question was this, orbitz offered and still is offering the $56 rate while everybody else is ~$116. the hotel's site goes even higher at ~$150?

Why not call Orbitz and confirm with them? If you want to call Egypt and don't want to use Skype, then get a phone card that is aimed at this part of the world - should be a few cents per minute.
