Starwood Preferred Guest - Double points plus Triple points?

Hi guys,

I'm new to FT, well, actually not new, but my first post. Just want everyone to know what a fine forum this is. Top notch.

Anyways, I'm still sort-of new to the SPG program and am curious as to the following:

I recieved one of those quarterly promos that I registered for which gives me triple points for all stays before April 30.

I also have booked a room at the Sheraton Park Tower in London, UK that has a room offer of double points if you book a room with them and stay before march 31st.

My question is: Will the triple/double point offers compound? Will I earn triple points on the double points total? or worst case senario will they forget about the double points offer and just award the triple points?

I feel confident in saying "yes" you'll receive both. One is a SPG promotion and the second is a hotel specific promotion.

Of course William (if he sees this) can 100 % confirm.

The promos won't compound, but they'll probably add up.

2 base points + 4 points from SPG Corp for the triple points quarterly promo + 2 points from the hotel for their promo rate + any elite bonus points (if you are SPG Gold or above) + any Amex points (if you pay with your SPG Amex card)

Whats up with double points at park tower_ Is this for everyone , I have a 6 day pay four coming up this month, and at 219gbp a night double points sounds nice! I wont opt for the triple as it doesn´´t allow for the two free nights.. And well $1000 or so for triple points aint worth it

if promotion A is a SPG quarterly promotion and promotion B is a hotel promotion, then it is almost certain you will receive both promotion over the base amount of points earned.
