Last night (early this morning) on ICN - SYD, sitting in the "business class" section of the lower deck (747-400). The middle seat beside me was empty. At about 4AM, a young woman decided she no longer could tolerate coach class and came up to my row. Let's just say she was feeling the effects of some substance ... She sat down in the empty middle row (yes, right on top of my Bose headset which I had put there while trying to nap), and started blabbering about not being able to tolerate using the coach bathroom any more. The fellow on the other side of the once-empty seat was trying to be nice to her and engage in conversation to keep the noise at a minimum for the other pax. After about ten minutes the FAs noticed what was going on and came to extricate her from the seat. At some point she ended up sitting in my lap for a few moments as she tried to stumble back toward coach. The FAs were very professional and extremely apologetic (to the point that the two involved both apologized again as we were on final approach).
Other than that (!), a typical ten hour in the old seats with no AVODs. Thank goodness for an ipod and the Bose (no damage done from the sit-down issue). Food was really terrible on this flight, but the service was, as alway on Korean Air, quite elegant.
