Hilton HHonors - Faulty award availability calendar ?

I recently was trying to search for award availability for a certain very popular hotel which was recently rebranded...

The award availability calendar shows me availability for 9 consecutive days, but when trying to book it, the system tells me "sorry, there are no rooms..."

Why is that ? Has anybody else run into that problem yet ?

Were you trying to book nine consecutive days using points? I think there is a limit. Not sure of days for award booking.

It says on the website that 9 is the maximum. I also tried it with 8 days, but the outcome was the same.

Sure, that's a longstanding problem. And I always phone. Get on the phone to book your award when something like that happens. The website has various and sundry glitches -- if you encounter one, just phone.

As for the why, who cares? It's not as if they're going to fix all the website problems anytime soon! :rolleyes:

I too was trying to book those rewards. I called and they told me those were not loaded into the system, and they update their system on Sunday. Well, its now Wed and its not fixed. When you call, they will not let you book those days using points either. Also, did you notice that when you try to book those days paying for them, the rate shows as $180 a night (and you think- THATS GREAT!), then you continue on, and it gives you a fabulous rate of $870??

With the new "no blackout dates" policy change, the award calendar is now wide open, and I had no difficulties to book a 9-night stay in September.
