I appreciate getting these e-mails "Your Upcoming Hilton HHonors Stay", but I receive them a week before I am checking into the hotel. It is a bit premature to send these out this early, especially when they put the five day weather forcast link on the top of the e-mail.
How about sending these e-mails out 48-72 hours before check-in?

I agree as, I am at 2 or 3 hotels a week. I can not keep up or even bother wiht them. IF it was were I am going tommorrow I might care.

I recently got one 7 days out - not really useful; also , the links in it did not work.
Peace!
I find them VERY useful. They remind me where I booked! I sometimes double-book hotels if I'm not sure of my plans. This reminds me to cancel appropriately.

Well, I've gotten them weeks after checking out, so a week before is better.
I too prefer them closer in to the trip.

Agreed.
OP, if you don't want them, then update your HHonors profile so that you will not receive the pre or post stay emails.

I would find them useful, if they sent them in a more timely manner. Again, why do I need a five day weather forcast a week before I get to the hotel?

I think you can choose whether or not you receive these reminders - so, if you don't want them ...

Ask Hilton, not me.
You've gotten some sound advice here. Bottom line, you control the situation, you know they come several days in advance, either you want to continue to receive them or not.
