Has anyone ever stayed here during high season on Points? I'm checking in during spring break on a Wednesday, and c/o Monday. I have an "Island View" with the points. I'm *wood Gold...thoughts on my chances to get turned around to the east for a ocean view? Hotel is sold out.

Firstly, the ocean is on the West. And, yes, I would definitely recommend getting faced that way. I would lob a call into one of the front desk managers and make your case BEFORE you arrive.

I have stayed there many times and do not recommend this property. Too many bad experiences. Dining is expensive and nothing special. I wouldn't go back again.

Upgrades are few and far between. My guess is gold won't make the cut, especially high season. Just be happy if your room doesn't smell mouldy.

The beach is nice though and so is Cayman. Many good restaurants.

Even as an SPG Plat, I now stay at the Wyndham Suites across the road. Great service, value and a lot cheaper. The pool at Treasure Island down the road is a lot of fun. Lots of locals and 2 for 1 daily drinks.

If you rent a car, take a tour is the island. Lots of great spots to visit and things to see.

Why the above noted master thread says USVI I have no idea. Cayman is nowhere near USVI.

Cheers,

The island view should be called parking lot view.

The property is not the greatest but the beach is spectacular. We loved it.

Also, there are lots of good places to eat and shop right down the street. I would recommend you rent a car because the island has lots of fun places to explore.
