Is 45 minutes enough time to connect currently in JFK? I know the terminal isn't the biggest but I'm a bit concerned about baggage handling and the possibility of BOS-JFK arriving at a gate in the satellite terminal.

And you should be OK, but if you could get the one flight earlier from BOS you'll have more room for delays or anything else to happen. caphis Jan 27, 08, 10:33 pm 45 minutes is plenty of time. Why not take BOS-CUN direct, though? baseline Jan 28, 08, 5:26 am Imho 45 min is cutting it very close. Yes you could make it, but if the BOS-JFK flight is even slightly late, then you're probably not going to make it. If it was me, I'd take an earlier flight. If you're on the 8AM JFK-CUN, it may be less of an issue since you could be bumped to the 10:30, but if you're on the 10:30 flight, then you're basically going to potentially lose a day of vacation to save an hour or two of waiting time. Whatever you choose, good luck and enjoy CUN. Jonathan magiciansampras Jan 28, 08, 8:06 am One can never have too much time allowed when connecting at JFK. :) JetBlueFA Jan 28, 08, 10:35 am BOS-JFK is not usually scheduled to arrive in the temporary gates because of the amount of business customers and we don't want them riding the bus to the main terminal. That is subject to change based on gate availability and any IROP situations. I'd personally suggest taking and earlier BOS-JFK flight just to give you some cushion in JFK in case of any Taxi delays. I've pushed the envelop quite a few times and have gotten stuch because I didn't give myself enough time. adambisi Feb 7, 08, 2:08 pm 45 minutes is plenty of time. Why not take BOS-CUN direct, though? Its not offered on wednesdays. I went with the 2 hour layover also! oswaldjacoby Feb 9, 08, 7:05 pm I would give yourself more time. It would be fine if your flight is on time. But JB has a pretty awful on time record. It is not a good airline for tight connections. aaron1262 Feb 9, 08, 9:10 pm yep 45 min at JFK is risky..there are so many flights from BOS-JFK just take an earlier flight. Plus i'm not sure about this, but you might have to take the bus to get from one terminal to the other...depending on what gate you deplane at. On the other hand if it was 45 min in BOS..that would be ok. |
