Hi all

I am sure that this is somewhere on the Nintendo site (probably in large bold lettering), but I can't seem to find the answer there...

Will the DS Lite work on both 120V and 240V? Will a Canadian purchased machine be chargable if I give it as a gift to someone in the UK?

Thanks

Dr. PITUK

It works in both. Check this

I just checked my DS Lite charger, and it's only rated for 110V. That said; it's fairly easy to find a DS charger in the UK, but that may be a little rude to gift.

On many sites you can find check ($10) USB chargers for the DS, that may be an option to gift along with it.

That isn't the original adapter for the DS. The included one is 110 only.

I can also vouch that it is 110V only. Which is stupid, but oh well.

If you are sending this gift I'd just purchase a UK adapter and include it. They are cheap enough, though I wonder about the quality of some.

Euro-plug, i think this is made by Nintendo:

That isn't the original adapter for the DS. The included one is 110 only.

Interestingly, the original power adaptor for the Japan market (100V) is a 100-240V adaptor, as is the one from Sydney and I believe the UK.

Seems like only the US market is being shortchanged in this one.
