Other Car Rental Programs/Partners (ie. Alamo, Enterprise, Sixt) - A plug for Fox rental car (Seattle)

Just rented from the Fox location near Sea-Tac. The van came in 2 min and the location was only 5-10 min away, next to Aadvantage (for those considering another option). The price on my daily rental was roughly 1/3 of the Hertz & Avis price, and about 1/2 of the others. Returning the car was equally smooth, though not quite as quick as the majors because they don't have those handheld devices so you have to go to the counter to checkout.
I had never heard of this company prior to seeing it on Orbitz but four of our group ended up renting here, all without incident. Some even paid as little as $9/day on priceline. I didn't care much for the PT cruiser, but Thrifty offers the same lame vehicles at a much higher rate, so I can't complain.
Normally I would go for the convenience of renting right at the airport parking garage, but the savings was too big to pass up, particularly on my own dime.

I'll second the OP's experience. Except for my walking to the location from my airport hotel to pick up the car, and thus not taking their shuttle (I needed the exercise and had time to kill), I also was very satisfied with my first FOX rental at SEA.
Their rate was appreciably cheaper than anyone else on the website I checked, even cheaper than THRIFTY, so thought I'd give them a try. Was a little leery at first, but service provided was hospitable and efficient. I was allowed to pick my vehicle, and got a good car for a very good weekend daily rate.
Recommend you give this outfit a try.

Fox is also pretty good at LAX and has some nice hybrids (Prius and Civic). A big advantage there (hybrids are allowed in the carpool lane at any time, even without passengers).

This is only true if your hybrid has a special state sticker affixed to the rear bumper. They don't issue them anymore, so you'd have to have an older one. If you don't, the fine for a first offense is $250+

Maybe by accident, but I suspect it is something that they pay careful attention to (and maybe fleets can still get stickers, or maybe they just have old hybrids!). And yes, car pool lane enforcement is pretty strict in LA, there is zero chance of getting by (lots of drivers will use their cell phones to report you, if nothing else).
