Travel Technology - JVC GPS maps of Europe?

My dad has a JVC GPS bought in the US. It has preloaded maps for the US and Canada, but we are traveling to Scotland next summer - and we can't find where to purchase maps to upload for the trip. Any ideas?

I would start by looking at JVC's web site for info. Also try a couple of GPS forums, one is listed as follow:

Before I purchased my Garmin Nuvi 370, I researched around quite a bit before ordering, coz I wanted to have Europe maps pre-loaded to save the hassle later.

I looked but couldn't find anything about it on that site. Thanks anyhow!

JVC site has in their FAQ that it isn't available. I thought perhaps some third-party might have them available :(

I believe there are only 2 major producers of GPS maps and many are interchangeable from one unit to another with e proper passwords, serial numbers and other license-related crap. FWIW I use a European maps SD card with my $150 US TomTom One and love it.
