Online Travel Booking and Bidding Agencies - I'm fed up with FareCompare

I'm trying to book a spring break trip from 3/20ish to 3/27ish. I'm willing to go just about anywhere warm or different outside the country except for Mexico or Bahamas. I do the search on FC, and see fares for $500...so I keep clicking through, and the fare jumps to $800. This happened multiple times. Are there any better tools out there?

I use ITA for specific trips or tweaks to a routing. I'm trying to go with one revenue ticket and two award. (*A)

How about Jamaica? DEN - MBJ from $460 3/19 - 3/26
Or Punta Cana, DEN - PUJ from $496 3/18 - 3/25.

I tend to like www.airfarewatchdog.com better. It still has fares that turn out to be false alarms but it seems to have more workable ones.

This was a good site until around the end of the year. Now the section the gives prices from my home location are not correct and when I do a search under their "find fares" section the message is "loading fares" but it never completes or loads any fares.
Are others having similar problems?

I had problems with they so used Kayak and bought my tickest through Lessno.com They were excellent. I had never heard of them before but read a few posts and decided to go ahead. I can certainly recommend them.
