Hey all -
I'm traveling with my girl's family - 8 of them, 1 of me - in Feb. 3 of the 8 are munchkins...5 year old, and twin 2's. The 5 year old has flown before but doesn't remember it, and the twins have never flown. Does B6 do anything for first-time fliers? If so, will telling the GA take care of it, or call ahead; what to do? Thx.

We really don't do anything special, but if you casually let the lead flight attendant know they might be able to congradulate them on their very first flight, we also have some kiddie wings that the flight attendants would be able to hand out, and I'm sure tha Captain and First Officer would be more than happy to have them visit the flight deck and get their pictures take in the "big" seats ^

What is the maximum age for kiddie wings :)?

I was thinking the same thing...the "big seat" would be more of a thrill for me than it would the munchkins. It's also my first time on B6 - does that count?

They are extremely well-behaved kids...it's the adults in the family that concern me more.
Thanks JetBlueFA - I'll take you up on that suggestion. I'm on #537, EWR-TPA, on 2/10. Any chance you'll know anyone?

OK, so we made into Tampa and out to the vacation house, and I've gotta say: big ^ to B6. My Florida trips might have to be on you guys now, because I feel spoiled. The view rocked, the 320 with TV and XM was a delight, and Capt. Randy got me a pic in the left seat and wings for the kiddies. Service was outstanding, and it's absolutely amazing how non-miserable flying is when you can stretch your legs.
Two tiny problems: that aircraft did not cool off to save its life during the flight, just hot as hell from about 10,000 feet out of EWR back to 10,000 into TPA. And the JB loyalists can flame on this next thing all they want: I tried to do the whole JB experience and got the Terra Blue chips. Um, ugh. To each their own, but I just don't get it with those chips.
Overall outstanding leg down on Denim Blue. Crew ruled.

Glad you had a very pleasurable experience! I can't attest to why the aircraft got hot, it could have been a problem with the air conditioning packs or the temperature nob in the flight deck was fiddled with. The flight attendants are usually on the ball when it comes to heat as we're moving around a lot and hate the heat up.
As for the Terra Chips, they aren't for everybody. For the most part they taste like normal chips but the whole "blue" thing just isn't for everybody. I, personally, have fallen in love with the Mama Says Chocolate Chunk Brownie Cookies!
I hope you have a great trip back as well!

^^^ - Mama Says that these things rock. The FA heard we were first time B6ers and came over to give of us one of everything, on top of a huge stack of Airbornes. Incidentally, the blue thing isn't what turned me off. Up until yesterday, I'd never heard of a salt-free potato chip...they sure tasted such to me. Meh. Girlfriend liked....she wanted me to point that out.

So, to come full circle: flight back was almost 40 minutes early (yeah, you read that right) and another spectacular crew. Landings on both legs were absolute grease jobs...just smooth as could be. Never did I think I would say this: I wish I could justify flying out of JFK.
