Has anyone had experience with upgrading to a minivan or larger via the check-in kiosk? Is it cheaper than booking the larger size straight out as it can be with an agent?
If that's the case, my plan is to reserve a small car and attempt to upgrade, and if the upgrade isn't available to just cancel the check-in and no-show the reservation, taking the minivan from an alternate agency.
Is this a crazy idea?
