Miles & More (Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, and other partners) - *A Gold Seat Assignment

Is there anyway to get LH to improve a UA *A Gold members seat assignment? I'm stuck in econ middles seats for a 1/25 departure ORD-FRA (A330) and FRA-ADD (AB6) ... luckily return is LH code share on UA, was able to call UA and get moved to econ+ seat on the 744 FRA-ORD leg.

I've tried calling LH's US rez dept with no luck. Is there a rez desk in Germany that I may have better luck with?

If there is no nice seat left, *G is not going to help.

They tell me they open up 30% of the seats at check-in ... what time do they start allowing check-ins?

What type of seats do they open up?

LH reserves a number of seats for their SEN/HON Elites in Y. These become available to the general public when the flight opens for checin, usually 22h before departure.

It is possible to OLCI on LH flights, so you could get lucky. For more details search for 'seating thread' and/or 'OLCI' in this forum.

Maybe it would help UA if they allow us LH*G access to E+ again... LH might be willing to negotiate a little bit.

I'm sure something like 33-39F can be assigned as UA*G priority seats :p

Dont take this post serious, that LH is willing to negotiate anything was just an assumption :D

Dont know if online check-in is available on this flight, but this might help. If so, try to check in as soon as the flight opens up (usually 23 hours in advance). There you should also be able to change/select another seat. If not try telephone check-in.
