Just remember that Christmas/New Year's is high HIGH season in Thailand, so even if you find an inexpensive flight hotels are at their priciest, often with the cost of mandatory holiday meals included in the tariff.

This I understand.
But I am one of those people who never gives up.
I will trawl for weeks on end until I find the right price.
It was worth a shot though.

Can't get any cheaper than Oasis from London to HKG. Would have to look for an LCC to complete the trip, though. Somebody's gotta at least fly from Macau-BKK, if not from HKG.
