Can I claim mileage on both my Asia Miles and my other OneWorld alliance membership (JAL Mileage Bank) or can you only pick one?

You can only pick one. Check the fare codes because how many miles you get can depend on that, and may not be the same for different mileage programs.

While we're on the topic, I had a quick question. I'm flying out on Mexicana, under an American Airlines Codeshare, so my ticket actually shows an AA flight number. Provided that it is a qualifying fare class, will that earn Club Miles?

I had the same situation in June and spent time to credit my BA exec but it does not work (neither miles nor status mile).Generally in OW you cannot earn miles on another OW partner flight operated by a non-OW airline. But maybe CX has a specific more generous policy.

No Club miles.

I think CX has changed their policy. My Mexicana flight was booked as an American Airlines codeshare, so I had an AA flight number. I checked my MPC statement today online and I received BOTH Club and Asia miles. It was a pleasant surprise. So it looks like you can earn Club Miles on any Oneworld marketed flight (not necessarily operated).
