Wyndham Rewards (formerly TripRewards) - Trip Rewards points earnings question

I have 2,600 TR points from some stays I made in '05 and '04.
I don't use TR much, and prefer Hamptons, Marriotts, Holiday Inns, Choice hotels.

I'd like to get my points up to 5,000 and transfer to my Amtrak account or elsewhere.

Because I don't have the statements going back that far, how are TR points earned? That is, how many per dollar do you earn at stays?

Thanks.

Double points until May: https://www.triprewards.com/double/

(Wingate is on par with your usual choices of hotels.)

And don't forget - points expire 4 years after they are posted to your account, unless cancelled early due to lack of activity. So if your '04 stays were early in the year, you might be looking at them expiring soon.

Thanks for the tip, but Wingate properties never appear on hotel searches I do in areas I travel- south Florida, Naples/ Fort Myers, Fort Pierce/ Vero Beach.

All that turns up are run-down "white trashy" Days Inns.

I read Trip Advisor. I won't stay at subpar hotels.
