Las Vegas - Amazing Johnathan at Sahara - always sold out?

After reading about Amazing Johnathan in a few Las Vegas guidebooks, this show is high on my to-do list during a visit over President's Day weekend. Does it typically sell out every night, particularly weekends?

Some of the same-day discount ticket vendors advertise that they've had availability in the past, and I'm trying to decide whether to take a chance and wait to purchase last minute.

saw him yrs ago when he was playing @ The Golden Nugget. I believe the reason he sells out is due to the 1/2 price tkt places.

I imagine he has changed the show a bit, 1 piece of advice if hes gonna be on TV dont watch him, as otherwise you have had seen his act and no need to see the show. I saw him on Leno a month or so before seeing the show and saw the best of the show watching him on Leno

Good advice. Thanks. I'm now leaning towards taking my chances and waiting for the discount brokers.

I saw him at the Flamingo about 5 years ago, then saw him on TV last month. Nothing's changed.

In that case, I may search the program guides for Comedy Central, HBO, etc. and put the money towards another show. ;)

We saw the Amazing Jonathan at the Golden Nugget a few years ago and I have to say it is the worse show we have ever seen out there. Everybody has there opinion, but I really am shocked that the half-priced places run low on tickets to Jonathan. If you are looking for a good comedy, check out the comedy stop at Tropicana. It is 19.95 and includes one drink. Usually includes 3 comedians and we have always had a good time. You can usually get the tickets an hour or so before the show. We have done this two or three times and there are different comedians that come thru there. Save your money and time, skip Jonathan. ;)

Ditto to everything said by Carter29072 above. A friend and I saw Jonathan and both of us found it unfunny. I like dark humor just fine but found this show often plain mean-spirited and kinda revolting. It's a subjective thing of course.

The Comedy Stop OTOH had us laughing in the aisles.

The "warm up" consists of panning a camera around the audience and putting disgusting quotes underneath the audience member (an Asian woman was given "Me Love You Long Time). So there's that.

The show was more or less identical to his Lounge Lizards special, but I thought that was really funny and haven't seen it in years, so overall I enjoyed the act. The few new bits were pretty good.

Overall it was probably worth paying half price, but as far as comedy magic, Penn and Teller were much better.

I just saw him this past weekend. Pretty good show, but I had never seen him before. I thought the warm up was very amusing. They zoomed in on our group of guys and said "Sausage Fest".

I love Penn and Teller, so I may opt for them instead.
