You type very well for a 2 year old.

Seriously, the Excalibur Tourny of Kings would probably be fine also. It's loud enough where if the 2 y.o. got restless and acted up, it probably wouldn't offend all the 10 year olds sitting around you. :p

I just don't want to split the family to two groups. I know it's hard to make both 2 and 70 happy:D

BTW, any hotel provide baby sitting service?

Most of the "adult" shows won't even admit children under 4 or 5 at all. Mystere or any of the CDS shows for sure won't.

It would be wise to check with the box office before purchasing tickets.

Not that I have been (I wanted to, but no one else did), but I think the Popovich's Comedy Pet Theater at Planet Hollywood might be appropriate. All the animals in the show are rescued from shelters and it sounds really nice for children and animal loving adults (me!). :D

I'd suggest you change your destination to Disney World. There is nothing at the casino hotels for 2 year olds. The 2 Year olds I've seen like to run and play with toys. They do not care to be carted through smoke filled crowds in a stroller for long periods of time.

There is a children's museum, a zoo and many playgrounds in town. As a grandparent I would much rather watch my grandchildren play where they are happy than to drag them along where they are not. The 70 year olds can go see the shows after the child goes to bed.

My grandkids are 3 and 4 - both have been dragged through the casino's so I am telling you from my own experience that it was a mistake.

Thanks for your advice and that's why we haven't been there for three years. We used to go there every year.
The purpose for this trip is mainly for my parents from oversea.
We will stay in MERIDIAN LUXURY SUITES which has no casino inside.

Give some thought to seeing Ronn Lucas (he's currently doing afternoon shows at Luxor). His show is great for kids of all ages! If you've never seen him before check these videos (http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=ronn+lucas) out - your sides will hurt from laughing so hard.

It's funny:) It's a good show for me.:p
But the limited understanding of English may be a problem for my little girl.

Be sure and tell us how your stay goes at Meridian - I see some good and bad ratings on this property, and they claim to have some significant renovations completed.

Sure. My trip is 2/9-2/11

ps. Book the flight one week to early. This week it's ~$100 but I got it ~150 two weeks ago.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit at Cancun Resort. It has a full kitchen, living room, dining room and two baths - there is a floor plan map on their website. No need to be an owner or to take the "tour" when you are a paying guest. http://www.monarchgrandvacations.com/resort.aspx?r=1&n=24735

When we stayed the week-end nights were about $125.00 per night. For all of that space it was a great price. The Cancun is at the very very far South end of the strip near South Point Casino. Also an easy drive from the Silverton which has a huge fish tank that entertained my grandchildren - for free! The biggest hit for the kids was the Secret Gardens at the Mirage. Both the tigers and the dolphins kept them busy with allot of area to run around.

I believe most of the shows there have age restrictions. I don't think I have ever seen very small children in any of the Cirque shows.

I can't imagine travelling to Las Vegas with a young child. It just doesn't seem to me to be a very kid friendly place.

I know I'll take flak for saying this, but...

Who in their right mind takes a 2 year old to Vegas? Didn't that trend wear thin about 10 years ago?

Go to Orlando.

I were worry about it also but it turned out to be a good trip for my little girl.
She really like "Popovich's Comedy Pet Theater at Planet Hollywood". Thanks, Feliceesq, great advice. Also, she enjoyed Circus Circus's Adventuredome and were running around Caesars Palace' Forum Shops happily. After 1st night watching Fountains at Bellagio, she kept reminding us "Fountains" the next two days:D.

In conclude, Las Vegas is kids friendly place if parents want it to.

Kid-friendly? I think not

Just because you skirted what Vegas really is (an adult playground, with major emphasis on ADULT), doesn't make it kid-friendly and a place to take the family when Disney has run its course.

If you consider ads for callgirls, second-hand smoke, drunken strangers and all-hours partying to be akin for a family atmosphere, then so be it... Just don't get your stroller in my way while I'm trying to navigate the casino.

Sorry for late reply.
Over all I think it’s a good place for family.
Didn’t use any service so can not comment on it. They can do grocery shopping for you. Room is well designed and decorated. It’s clean also.
On the other hand, it’s a little bit noisy when showering or flushing.
It’s not too far from the Strip when you have fresh legs.

Yes or no.
If you let kids run around by themselves. You are right. Las Vegas is a bad bad bad place. But if you choose wisely, it has plenty places to entertain kids.
Talking about second-hand smoke, drunken strangers and all-hours partying, Orlando might not be good neither since you can find all of these things also.

A 2 year old won't remember anything, so it's a waste of money to take them to any show. Remember back to all those fond memories you have at age 2? Oh, that's right. You don't have any. Your 2 year old won't either. And it's a little unfair to them, to be telling them for years, about what fun they had doing this or that, when as far as they're concerned it didn't happen.

She might not remember anything but she did enjoy it at that moment. Just like myself, do I remember all good meals I have had? Maybe not. Do I waste the money for these meals? No.

If you look at things that way, you'd never take a small child out of the house. Plus, even though the child might not recall, part of it is the experience of the others in the party. We took our son to LV when he was 16 months old. We also took the teenage stepdaughter and her friend. When my husband and I wanted to play, the girls looked after our son. They got a nice trip with adjoining room at the Mirage, and we had our fun too. Our son loved the pool, the tigers, and just plain ol' playing, just like he would no matter where we are. I have very fond memories of that trip with him (was his first flight, etc.)

We go to Vegas a few times a year, and have only had him along for that destination twice. Last time he was there he was 5, and his big thing that trip was the lazy river at Mandalay Bay. We only take him if we have someone along to help with his care, so that we can hit the tables.

Oh, and how is it unfair to your child to reminisce with your child about his childhood? Ours love it.
