Is it possible that CX can check my luggage all the way to Tehran? Thanks Umm...I did not try on Emirates. But a year ago, I did CX713 HKG-BKK, then TG BKK-Chiang Mai. CX suggested and checked my bag thru to Chiang Mai, so I do not need to take the bags in BKK. BUT, CX check in agent said that I must go to TG counter once arrived BKK and give TG staff the CX baggage barcode in order to update in the TG system. Actually the process was quite smooth, except that our bags were among the last three to come out in Chiang Mai. rtwdone4 Jan 10, 08, 10:45 am Umm...I did not try on Emirates. Actually as a rule of thumb, even if the original carrier can check your bags through to the final destination you should always give the connecting carrier your bag tag numbers so they can pick it up in the system, don't assume they will automatically know EVEN on the same ticket/PNR |
