It's a small place, and while I wouldn't consider their menu "light", the portions aren't gi-normous. It's a rather trendy place, but I enjoyed it for a relatively quick dinner. There's always the Bellagio's coffee shop, and practically all of Caesar's Palace and Forum Mall to choose from between Bellagio and Mirage. Joe's Stone Crab will likely have something light, but the wait may be long. There's Bobby Flay's place, Mesa in Caesar's Palace which isn't bad. coreynyc Jan 9, 08, 7:21 pm LOL. Carnegie Deli is DEFINITELY not light. Not very glamorous for Las Vegas but you can order light and no need to rush to go to the show afterwards. kaukau Jan 10, 08, 12:52 am That's funny. It's an old joke, but a goody. Glad you like it! coreynyc Jan 10, 08, 7:30 am Definitely true for this Jew. LOL!!!! For Jews and Hawai'ians.......it's just a snack!!!! Vis a vis Recipes: "Serves 4. Glad you like it! very funny --- ROFLOL :D for a light snack, the Petrossian Bar (http://www.bellagio.com/nightlife/petrossian-bar.aspx) at Bellagio should work. A few ounces of Sevruga Caviar washed down with a NV Champagne (or Vintage if you prefer ;)) --- the "perfect" snack (or light meal), IMO. BenjaminNicholas Jan 13, 08, 10:25 pm I suppose it all depends on what kind of atmosphere you're looking for. You never really specified, but why eat at a deli in Vegas when you've got such incredible dining options at your fingertips? I recommend: FIX at Bellagio (fantastic menu and innovative dining room) Noodles at Bellagio (best Mandarin Beef Stew Noodle in town) Olives at Bellagio (Todd English can do some very light portions) BN PS: Petrossian is a GREAT choice, but skip on the Sevruga. Their caviar quality has done way down in the past few months, leading me to only frequent the bar for their smashing afternoon tea service. Gogie Jan 14, 08, 3:08 pm That's funny. To the OP, suggest California Pizza Kitchen at Mirage. Not very glamorous for Las Vegas but you can order light and no need to rush to go to the show afterwards. Last time I was in Vegas in the Mirage poker room a few of the locals were highly recommending the California Pizza Kitchen as a place to eat. Best pizza in Vegas according to them. I didn't try it, so I can't comment on the quality. mphall Jan 14, 08, 3:24 pm Can anyone recommend a source for reviews of Las Vegas shows and also the hotel lounge acts. kingalien Jan 14, 08, 4:51 pm Can anyone recommend a source for reviews of Las Vegas shows and also the hotel lounge acts. KenJohn Jan 15, 08, 5:09 pm Can anyone recommend a source for reviews of Las Vegas shows and also the hotel lounge acts. I find the Las Vegas Online Entertainment Guide (http://www.lvol.com/lvoleg/lvshows.html) rather good as a listing although it has some reviews on it as well BenjaminNicholas Jan 15, 08, 7:31 pm CPK is NOT the best pizza in Vegas... Oy  That's akin to saying that McDonalds makes the best hamburger out there. They're both chain-food type of places and in a city with amazing culinary diversity like Vegas, there's no reason to ever claim that CPK (or McD's for that matter) is best of anything. For up-to-date show info, head to http://www.Vegas.com They keep their reviews current and the show schedules rolling. BN Boraxo Jan 17, 08, 12:39 am That's funny. To the OP, suggest California Pizza Kitchen at Mirage. Not very glamorous for Las Vegas but you can order light and no need to rush to go to the show afterwards. Agree 100% - this is the best option. I also have to put in a negative plug for Prime. $48 for a filet mignon that was no more special than one you can find at many vegas steakhouses in the $30-something range. The food was good (as was the service) but not worth the ripoff prices unless you really value that view of the fountains (assuming you get one of the special tables). mctrees02 Jan 17, 08, 9:14 am Does FIX still have a pre-theater prix fixe menu? I know they used to. Granted it was for "O"...but I doubt they check your tickets. They just asked me "are you going to the theater?" |
