I think this is insane...
After promotion codes my rental comes 65,06USD.
The fees in addition are 78.75USD !!!
Customer Transportation Charge $14.00
Facility Charge 4.00/day $28.00
Airport Concession Fee Recovery $7.23
Euless Motor Vehicle Rent Tax5% $6.23
Veh License Cost Recov 1.48/day $10.36
Motor Vehicle Rental Tax (10.0%) $12.46
Fftxrsu (0.0%) $0.47
Subtotal $78.75
A customer transportation charge?? I drop my old rental off and take the new one with me, no need to transport me.
I rent weekly for about 6 weeks now, sometimes Alamo sometimes Budget but the fee roulette seems to be more and more ridiculous
Unfortunately I tried to price out a monthly rental and it is not cheaper. Another reason I do this is that I fly out over the weekend so I dont need pay parking fees.

Alamo isn't charging you the fees, the city/state you are renting in IS. You just said Budget is charging them too. Rental car taxes and fees across the country are getting out of hand and the Rental Car companies have been and continue to fight this day in and day out. In some parts of the country they amount to 72% of the rental. Here in PHX they are nearly 47%. We rank #6 as far as the highest taxes/fees in the country. It's horrible but there is nothing the rental companies can do. I have been a car rental agent for 10 years and seen the fees and taxes climb exponentially over that time. They've even added two fees here in PHX due to the new consolidated rental car facility. I will add that I've seen the average daily rate Drop over that time which seems strange considering the cost of doing business has gone up and the cost of cars has gone up. I don't know how places stay in business sometimes.
For those weeks when you are not flying in, but just trading one rental for the next, consider an off-airport location. Those often have the same base rates but many fewer fees.
Also, when booking for an airport pickup, let the rental company know if you are not riding the shuttle and not on an arriving flight within the last day. Some places don't have to charge you all the airport fees in that case.

Just returned an Alamo car at LAX a few days ago and I only have a $32.33 concession recoup fee as an additional charge on top of rate and tax.
Paid a weekly rate of $ 201.53 ( excluding 8.75% tax ) for a fullsize car including insurance and all miles. I guess we Europeans do not get all these charges??.

I tried that...for example Grapevine, TX instead DFW Airport.
The result was the same, strange enough. When I rent in germany the airport station charges 20% extra so I always rent 1 day there up to my hometown and there I get a new contract without the fee. These 20% are lets say 12$ when I book a 1 day car with my Sixt Platinum Card. I have to admit the rental and gas prices are higher in germany though... no way to get a PT cruiser for 120$ a week
