Star Alliance - Lounge Access query Intl F to Dom F @ LAX

I have posted this within another thread on the bmi forum but then remembered this would be by far the best place for the question.

If I arrive into LAX on LH in F connecting same day to either US F Domestic to LAS or UA Y (as no F available) will I be able to access a lounge prior to my connecting flight ?

Also on the return I assume I will have lounge access in LAS prior to LAS-LAX domestic sector as I will be possession of same day LH Intl F boarding pass/ticket for my onward flight from LAX-FRA.

But the UA F lounge will not be an option if OP takes US as they fly out of T1 and UA uses Terminals 6, 7 & 8.

I presume that OP's Int'l F BP should be enough to get him/her into US LAX lounge.

If cnx time is excessive (> 3 hours), I would suggest UA Y over US F and spend the extra time in the UA F lounge. US F is no prize and, for a flight that short, it will offer only a slight amount of extra room over UA Y.

Thanks I will take the connection in UA Y in order to access the Intl F lounge @ LAX upon arrival before connecting flight.

What's a shame is that the OP won't have access to E+, even though the international ticket was in F.

The decision was taken away from me and the next available flight to connect to was US F to LAS so booked this otherwise wait another hour for UA Y.

I will have to take my chance with US Club in Terminal 1 which I should hopefully be able to access with LH F Boarding Pass as on the same day Intl F ticket.
