Virgin America Elevate - VX should have gift cards (a la B6)

I'm struggling to come up with a good gift for someone's big birthday in a couple of weeks, and I thought it would be great if I could get them a VX gift card. Unfortunately, no such program exists and apparently there are no plans to implement one (according to reservations). I think the airline really lends itself well to gifting, so I hope they consider this in the future.

I saw them giving out free flight certificates on Dr Phil a couple months ago :D (my wife was watching it, not me!)
Maybe try calling them?

I did call reservations (as I mentioned in my post). Is there another department that might do something for me?

oh you did say that, my bad. So the problem is that they have no intention of introducing them at this point...
Don't they issue vouchers for canceled flights and/or compensation? Maybe they could sell you one of those?

That would be great! But I don't know how to go about finding that out.
Alternatively, are they transferrable?
