Hi folks,

Have had a search both here and on easyJet.com and I can't find anywhere what qualifies as 'acceptable' photo ID for UK domestics. The easyJet site just tells you to phone a premium number for information

Any info greatly appreciated. Any tips for flying ex-GLA too :) It's my first time on EZY...

Are they really the only documents Easyjet will accept? Other airlines (such as FlyBe and Aurigny) have a much longer list which includes things like student cards and bus passes.

Acceptable usually means an 'official' ID eg student card, proof of age or document issued by a government or quasi-govt body. To be safe - take your passport or photo driving licence.

Tips for flying ex-GLA? Don't try to drive your 4 x 4 up to the terminal building:D. Otherwise, take the bus (http://www.glasgowairport.com/portal/page/GLA%5ETo+and+from+our+Airport%5EBy+Bus/e82539a1ac362010VgnVCM100000147e120a____/448c6a4c7f1b0010VgnVCM200000357e120a____/) from the city centre. If there is more than one of you, most private hire companies have a reasonable fixed fare eg: ACS 0141-423 1111. DON'T use a black cab or the official airport taxis - expensive !.

Last but not least - GLA airport management recently made a big mistake by allowing a reasonably priced food outlet into the main terminal! Situated near security for the easyJet gates is Greggs. So instead of £3 for a super skinny latte plus £2 more for a hand made brownie from one of the chi-chi food outlets, Greggs will serve you a cuppa tea and a Scotch pie for £1.31! (keep this amongst ourselves, though^)

Thanks for the tips everyone - I ended up taking my passport, as it was handy on the day, and easyJet were still rather unclear as to what was acceptable.

Have to say, I was rather impressed by the whole process. I did indeed go to Greggs for a pie (haven't had a proper mutton pie for a long time), security too a matter of seconds and the rather cheap 'special boarding' worked a treat. Arrived at Luton early, and was home in half an hour. Definitely a good alternative to the train when engineering works are on!

The new hire car drop off at GLA is rather convenient too (we were coming from Dunbartonshire via Paisley anyway...)
