Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Can I make such a redemption booking?

hi folks,

I was wondering whether I could make the booking flying one way business, and if so, at which asia miles level.

I wanted to go YVR to HKG via JFK. so the flight would be as follows
Flight 1: YVR-JFK
Flight 2: JFK-HKG

If that is possible, would it be at the YVR-HKG mile cost (70k) or at the JFK-HKG mileage cost (85k)..

im thinking it should be 70, but am unsure.

From the AsiaMiles site:
"Award zones are based on the one-way distance between origin airport and destination airport. If connecting sectors are involved, the sector distances should be summed up to determine the total one-way distance and applicable award zone."

So it would be at the sum of YVR-JFK and JFK-HKG, so 2442 + 8059 = 10501 miles so 110K miles.
