I plan to be on the YYZ flight on Feb. 12 in J. Looking forward to the new J product. If all seats are foward facing, I wonder whether it is better to be A and A or A and D or other side K and K or K and G. Advice from another is appreacited. Anyone know if the BA lounge opens for CX pax early in the morning? I ask since the BA flights usually leave in the pm not the am and the BA lounge is noted as the CX lounge. carlcowkau Jan 10, 08, 5:01 am Anyone know if the BA lounge opens for CX pax early in the morning? If you want the new seat then it's a diagonal facing not foward facing. You get the foward facing (old) ones if you travel on the 346 or the 34D. I've only flown CX during the evening hours out of YYZ (as those are the only timings available and still is until the middle of this month) but I assume when CX switches to the morning departures later this month, it should be open. mkjr Jan 11, 08, 11:42 am diagonally forward is more accurate. will try 20A and 21A to HKG on the 777 (will reprt back) and the return on the 74A to YVR on 11K, 12K and 12G with my FIL and our child. glad the lounge should be open for a little snack in the morning. sfo to bkk Jan 11, 08, 4:01 pm Is the 74A config. flying out of Vancouver on every flight now? mkjr Jan 12, 08, 6:39 pm Is the 74A config. flying out of Vancouver on every flight now? my FIL is going out on the 74A on a Tue and back on a Sun. there is three flights on both days so i suspect it is only on one of them that they are running the 74A - certainly there was no "I" class when I booked on it but was on other metal in J - I suspect i know why. i have got him on 87A going out to HKG to meeting us in CAN. Correct, not all the YVR flights have 74A. The continuation flight to JFK almost always has 74A, however, and the other two seem to rotate on some complex equipment schedule. A FA was telling me it has to do with how they rotate the 74A on its return from JFK-YVR-HKG, he said those aircraft are then turned around to cover either LHR flights or another HKG-YVR run based on the equipment management system CX uses. |
