DH and I recently completed a trip in KE C class SYD-ICN-JFK, then IAD-ICN and finally ICN-SYD. Here are some observations.
Seats:
The seats on SYD-ICN routes were the older style "Prestige Class" seat. Comfort-wise, they were OK, but there is no AVOD, and no in-seat power. I fell asleep after the lunch service for a few hours, so managed to pass the ~10 hour flight reasonably well.
The seats on the ICN-JFK and IAD-ICN routes were the new Prestige Plus seats shown on the KE website http://http://www.koreanair.com/local/eu/gd/eng/if/cs/eng_if_cs_pc.htm Much more comfortable for the ~13-14 hours to the east coast. These seats have in seat power, little storage compartments, and most importantly AVOD. DH sat up most of the night playing with his AVOD and running a movie marathon :rolleyes:
Service:
The FA's were nice and very attentive on all routes. The level of spoken English varied from very good to just passable, though they all made an effort, and the service was good. We were offered juice and water on boarding, and water was offered again after the meal service.
