I have had some luck with travel here. I can almost always get a car, even when Hertz or Avis say they are sold out. Midsize upgrades by one, but the 10% off midize rates is rarely as good as what I could priceline for a premium car.
Just wanted to know what tips you might have on using CTS for car rentals.

My favorite Cent Hertz bene is the 4 hour extension on returns.
On many trips that 4 hour window saves me the hassle of returning the car
early (or paying for an extra day)

Hertz and Avis get some damn good upgrades through Centurion. Hertz often has lower rates. Unfortunately, we don't rent cars much so I don't know of many tips

Hertz generally ignores the promnise to upgrade you from a midsize to a premium, but you can argue with them and they will usually relent. I have just been avoiding Hertz.

Had great luck with Avis last week in CNS. Thrifty had messed up our reservation and all companies, including Avis said they were completely sold out. I then remembered that we had President's Club, which has a guaranteed car as one of their perks. We ended up getting a small SUV which suited us perfectly. Of course, they charged us a bundle for it but that's another story.
